The walls of the Consumable Sugar Shack are composed of split firewood. During the spring the walls are burned while making maple syrup. During the summer the structure serves as a tea house. In the fall the wood is cut and the walls are refilled. In the winter the structure serves as a cross country skiing warming hut. In the spring the cycle begins again.
